Sam & Jane's Excellent Texas Adventure!

It's Friday night, May 8th. I'm mostly packed. Jane is ready. I'll get up tomorrow morning and load the bags on Jane. In case anybody is confused, Jane is my '07 Star (Yamaha) VStar 1100 Classic. She's got new Pirelli tires and fresh oil. I washed her tonight and will strap my bags on in the morning. I expect to leave Visalia, CA about 8:00 AM. I intend to go down Cal 99 to the merge with I-5 into the LA area then the 210 to the 10 till Coachella. There I'll take the road down the east side of the Salton Sea.
I hope to get to Yuma at least on Saturday, but if I'm feeling good, I'll go on to Gila Bend.
